Say hello to Wendy Goff, an academic at Swinburne University of Technology who has been working closely with me as part of the professional experience team. Wendy has been supporting pre-service teachers and mentor teachers undertake professional experience in the remote and flexible mode during COVID-19.

In this episode Wendy and I discuss and reflect upon a semester of change for education students studying to be teachers, school teachers, and the education sector due to COVID-19. During this time we saw shifts for schools and universities in delivery modes of learning and teaching experiences. And what for many has been confronting and a time of suffering, there has been an amazing collegiality in the sector that has us both smiling. We call these moments of joy. As the episode progresses Wendy shares her insights into the experience of working closely with mentor teachers and pre-service teachers at this time. She reveals behind the scenes impact, appreciations and offers a wealth of tips about wellbeing, the place of relationships, and just how resilient and ambitious the profession has been during this dynamic time.

Enjoy this episode, the last of this series to celebrate the end of semester 1, 2020. A time of incredible change, but change that has ignited new ways of working and being that make us smile, feel connected and inspired.
