Teachers Supporting Teachers Summer Series:

Episode 5 - Job interviews, panic attacks and aligning to your values

The job interview roller coaster ride is a feature in this episode of the summer series with Ruby and Ellen. We talk about applying for jobs, writing applications, preparing for interviews, and the all that comes with the ups, downs, twists and turns of the yes, no or maybe, or hang on we want you for a different role!

We unpack the emotional and mental strain, and acknowledge that at times this part of becoming a teacher is hard. We get really honest and open up about panic attacks - what this is like, and what happens when you are experiencing  one. There is a lot of self-reflection in this episode and rawness as Ruby and Ellen open up about the place of self-care.

Realizations about how to present yourself are discussed including drawing on key policies and curriculum documentation  plus real life examples in practice to demonstrate your capabilities.

Warning: Please note in this episode we discuss a situation where a panic attack was experienced.
